HeartMind
“Flowed” (c) 2009
I know my heart has a mind
Thoughts sometimes unkind
It shakes me deep to core
Leaving me wanting nothing more.
I dance the wind with a smile
Though it leaves me bare awhile
Up at golden moon I gaze
Sanity cloaked in darkened haze.
Who are these loves with shiny gifts
Winking my soul to tumbling shifts
Each one greater than the other
Not knowing embrace which to bother.
Sorting out sweet embattled schemes
Weaving wicked entangled dreams
Why bother do you knock
At my heart that’s under lock?
Mind of heart you do not belong
Fragile is love, kind and strong
Neither would I take any your hand
For once again heart, alone I stand.
